Project | North Shore

For our beautiful North Shore project, we had the privilege of hand selecting luxurious fabrics for their custom curtains and blinds. We used a neutral palette and chose soft wispy linens and polyesters to add texture to each space. This beautiful bespoke home has elegant timber flooring with the Moda Amalfi by Forte flooring. We wanted the fabric in the living space to compliment this luxurious timber flooring, while also bringing warmth to the Resene Wan White Walls. This area also displays a stunning fireplace covered in Casa Italiana tiles from ceiling to floor. Considering this was the focal point, I wanted to go with a fabric that was heavy on texture but muted in colour, as to not distract away from these amazing tiles. Using a double track system on the ceiling not only brought height to the walls, but also allowed the sheers to show off its texture as the light poured in. This sheer by James Dunlop was a perfect choice and worked together beautifully with the blue details on the tiles.

For their daughter’s room we went with a beautiful soft blush coloured linen to create a timeless design that will last many years to come. It also complimented their wool carpet by Cavalier Bremworth by adding a soft colour pallet against the cream carpet. A good point of advice; when choosing fabrics for your kid’s rooms, going with soft colours like a blush pink or pale blue will allow your children to enjoy them a bit longer than brighter, more bolder colours.

This job was such a pleasure to do for our lovely North Shore clients. The result brings a timeless elegance to their stunning home. Our client’s have the best sea views in town and we made sure the fabrics we chose didn’t distract from this.
