Hunua Kitchen

This Hunua kitchen transformation reimagines an outdated 1980s layout into a light-filled, highly functional space designed for a busy family who love to cook and entertain. By removing the separate dining wall and reconfiguring the layout, the kitchen was completely rotated to face the outdoor view, allowing natural light to flood the space and creating a more connected flow for everyday living. A generous island now provides additional workspace and a central gathering point, while an innovative corner pantry conceals appliances behind doors that tuck seamlessly into the cabinetry when in use. Durable, low-maintenance materials were selected to suit the demands of daily family life, including Dekton benchtops and melamine cabinetry that adds depth and warmth. Blonde oak flooring introduces a soft contrast, while full-height white cabinetry enhances the sense of scale and light. The result is a timeless kitchen that balances practicality, longevity, and understated luxury.
